The beautiful sky near Two Buttes State Park in Eastern Colorado. It was too beautiful to pass up.

The bathroom facilities for prisoners at Birkenau, Auschwitz's sister concentration camp. The buildings at Birkenau are made of wood, and are not insulated like the barracks at Auschwitz. The bathrooms facilities you see here is what the prisoners had to use in even the most brutal of conditions. Needless to say, I was emotionally drained that day.

An beautifully lit exterior hall in a Prague building

This is a cool little street off the famous Charles Bridge in Prague. If you watch closely, you might recognize this street in the movie Mission Impossible. (Thanks to Pei for the update.)

The gravesites in Eastern Europe, and especially Prague, are incredibly well-kept. Gravesites are generally crammed next to each other in a small yard next to a church. It was interesting to walk around and observe the age of some of the stones. Despite the morbidity of the subject, there are quite beautiful scenes in these cemeteries.

This is one of the halls in one of the museums at the Auschwitz concentration camp. The walls are covered in the photos that the Nazis took of prisoners who were imprisoned in the camp. The SS took very detailed documentation on all of their activities. These hall were former barracks for the prisoners. It's especially eerie to see flowers tacked above a photo. What a sick place.
