ETF - Daddy manned the camera most of the day, so this is the only picture we got of him. Notice his thick goatee; I was informed last night that he has been prepping it for Movember. Surely there will be pictures to come next month of this! (Note that I'm not all that excited about it. =) )

ETF - By the time we got to the tractor ride Abe was done with pictures and would turn away anytime he saw the camera pointed at him. "I didn't want you to take my picture!"

Cheese!

ETF - This is April "cheesing" for the camera. It's just so stinkin' cute. I love everything about it - how it involves her whole face (especially her nose) and even the missing tooth.

Boat

ETF - One of the stops on the tractor ride had some antique tractors, a playground, and an old boat. Abe was a big fan of the boat and loved driving it!

This was taken a few days later, but is the coveted necklace that Abe chose over a real pumpkin at ETF. Of course, this pic was taken at TLP where we did end up getting a real pumpkin to carve, so basically our "You can only get one thing, a pumpkin or a necklace" backfired on us. I wasn't giving up carving because of a whiny 4yo.

Twin Lakes Park (TLP)

The weather finally cooled down for a couple days so we hit a "pumpkin patch" closer to home at the YMCA. Mommy of course was hoping for some more photo ops (it also helped speed the day away).

Geese

TLP - Both the geese and ducks were overly friendly when it came to feeding them. That's a problem when the geese are as big or bigger than the kids feeding them. Eventually they backed us up to higher ground. Abe even had a goose bite him. "They are selfish, rude, and unfriendly!"

TLP - We ended up taking "shelter" on some nearby picnic tables. I still had to swat at a couple with my legs to keep them from overtaking us. Greedy things!

Pumpkin Carving

Dexter LOVES pumpkin. I never allow him too much because I don't know how his digestive system will react. But he's quick enough to get some, and I think it's pretty funny.

Friends had brought their wagon and April took full advantage. I think she was the only one that rode in it, except for Abe later as we headed home (long after we had parted with the friends that owned said wagon).

My favorite comment of the night came from our neighbor. When he saw April sitting in the wagon he said, "She looks so cute sitting there! It looks like she's about to lay an egg!" What made the comment so great is that he was SO RIGHT! Cracked me up.
