We ate BBQ at a beautiful park. I had a great picture of the Mike & Abe eating it, but it was our only casuality when the camera card went wacko. Sad, but could have been much worse.

Mammoth Cave

We realized too late that tickets for the good tours were selling out and didn't think to buy ahead. We much appreciated the outdoor kennels for the dog though. Wish more places did this. The cave itself was very disappointing compared to Carlsbad Caverns...

Columbus Zoo

We met my best friend of 22 years, Sarah, and her family at the Columbus Zoo. They're season pass holders so they even got us in free. It ended up being the only time we saw them. Was so much fun, but way too short.

A must of course. They wouldn't let you take infants, so Sarah, April and I stayed back.

The Animal Show

They put on a really fun animal show with dogs, cats, birds, porcupines, and lots of other animals I can't remember. All of the animals (at least the domestic ones) are rescued from local shelters. Abe LOVED it!! It was so much fun.

April was unusually fussy (nap time and it was HOT) during the show, but Aunt Sarah took her and she fell asleep.

The boat ride was a huge hit. Abe almost went on it twice, but then chose the playground instead the 2nd time around.
