Mackinac Island FerryBefore we bought tickets to the island at 10:30pm the night before, we checked the forecast: Sunny High of 80 degrees. We woke to rain and thunderstorms. We boarded the ferry in the POURING rain, so the ride there was in the boat's belly.

The Carriage RideMotorized vehicles aren't allowed on the island, which is really really nice. The Best way to tour it is by a horse-drawn carriage. We decided the perfect time to do our tour was in the rain.Comments

The BridgeTrying to get pictures was similar to trying to get them of the Golden Gate bridge when we went to San Francisco - foggy. It was beautiful on the drive up, but did we think to stop then and get pictures? Nope; I think the kids were sleeping. Oh well.Comments
