Biking culture is fun in Austin. You get these college hippie wannabes that ride super-heavy super-uncomfortable rides simply for status. It's like the Volkwagen bus for bikes. I just don't get it. It is possible, I suppose, that this is the best bike the rider could find, given the amount of available cash on hand, but I doubt it. There are plenty of pawn shops in town with loads of bikes.
