I was experimenting with a makeshift lightbox and a friend's 50mm f2.5 macro lens. His lens is certainly much more capable of close up shots than ours. I'm amazed how shallow the depth of field is on that thing at minimum distance and maximum aperture; it's probably no more than a few millimeters.
