Mike and I aren’t big on New Year’s resolutions. Just this New Year’s Eve I was asking Mike why people make such a big deal about a new year. I think his response was pretty accurate. “They see a new year as a clean slate, a new beginning. ‘This year I’m going to change my life around!’” Three weeks later and their life looks just that same as it did in December. (Ask anyone that works at a gym or fitness club. They’ll confirm it. All it does is make parking in January a pain for those of us regulars.) Does the last number of our year really need to be different for us to have a goal of bettering our lives?
Evidently is does for us… at least this year because we’ve made one – hopefully it’ll last longer than three weeks. Our resolution is to resurrect the Photoblog. I’m sure this will also include an increase in blog entries. While this is my first true blog entry (the video posted before this was actually done by Mike under my name), you’ll likely be seeing me a lot more in the coming year – in both this blog and the photo one (I’ve actually made several Photoblog appearances; you just never knew it). Oh, and I make no promises that Abe won’t be my favorite topic. Here’s to 2008!

With the Canon G9, I can set up for time lapse video. I figured the insanity of opening Christmas presents with a 3, 5, 7, and a bunch of 30-somethings would be a good subject. Have a look:
