My lovely wife has Jodi-isms. That is, she has phrases which are uniquely her own. This web site is named after one of her phrases; “oh my head!” She uses it only when appropriate, rendering it quite effective.
In thinking about some of the words she utters, I’ve compiled a short list of words that I’d like to see become popular again:

• The dog went bonkers over his new lamb bone.
• Jodi went bananas when she heard we were going to Maui
• That bully is a real nincompoop.
• Wowzers! That jalepeno is super hot!

There are also some words that have jumped the shark, or have gone completely out of style, that I have actually seen in use within the past couple of weeks:

• Not! – seen on a plastic Halloween gravestone, as in; “R.I.P. NOT!”
• Bling – seen on a Denny’s tabletop teepee describing a new drink offering, as in; “Bling Berry”
• Jump the shark – I think this phrase has jumped the shark.

I’m no authority on words, so let’s hear yours!
