Woo Hoo!!

Dr. Fox came by this morning and removed April’s chest tubes!! Yahoo!
They are now monitoring her blood pressure for the next couple hours with her fully on the oral bp meds. If that looks good they’ll remove the last two big lines (the arterial line in her wrist and the central line in her neck, leaving only your standard IV line which stays until we’re discharged). Once those lines are gone we’ll be transfered to IMC, hopefully by this afternoon!
We had a great night last night. She ate 3/4 of a piece of pizza and has been drinking great. We both got a solid night sleep (best yet). This morning she drank a full milk, ate a full sausage patty and half of a pancake. She’s doing fantastic.
She’s developed a reputation here in PICU as not liking anyone but Mommy and Daddy and having stranger danger.
However, nurse Debbie this morning has broken thru and April loves her!
Assistance League of Austin came by this morning and gave her a purple monkey that she’s literally bananas over. So adorable!!
Thanks for the continued prayers. Thing just keep going better than we could hope for… To God be the glory!!
