Surgery Updates
1:30p – They took April back to prep her for surgery about 15 minutes ago. This should take about 30 to 60 minutes. I’ll get four calls throughout the surgery and will update this post as I receive them.
Also, thanks so much for your prayers this morning. She did AMAZINGLY well without being able to eat and didn’t really seem to notice, until we got to the hospital, her restrictions.
You have no idea how much it means to us to have so many of you praying for her and us. I’ll keep you posted as we know updates. Again, check this blog post.

2:43p – (2nd update, call 1 got missed) She is on the heart and lung machine. The surgeons are currently fixing her heart now. Please pray.
3:50p – They are finishing the repair and about to do the echo. If everything looks good they’ll start to take her off the heart and lung machine. Thanks for your continued prayers.
4:08p – The echo looked good and she is off the heart and lung machine!! Praise the LORD!! They’ll call again when they start to close.
4:29 – They are starting to close now and will be done in 30 to 40 minutes!
5:30p – We got to see her briefly on her way to her room and just finished speaking with the surgeon. Everything went fantastic and he has no concerns about anything in the future!! She now has a normal heart and 90% of the hard part is over.
Many praises to God our Father for His careful watch over her. Thank you all so so so much for walking thru this with us. We’re not totally done, but please rejoice with us now too!!
We started praying continuously for her early this morning for God’s supernatural healing and guidance for all those who are a part of her care team today. Thank you for the updates!!

Aaron and Isabel are at their history co-op and they always start with prayers and prayer requests. They prayed for April before they left and said they would pray for her at co-op too. Lifting all of you up…

We were driving home from school almost exactly when she would have been getting started and the whole vanful was praying. So happy to see that it couldn’t have gone better. We’ll keep praying for her to heal well and quickly and for the journey to stay smooth from here on out. Love you all.
