Prayer Requests

We keep getting closer to surgery day so I thought I would post some more specific prayer requests. I’m sure many of them you can already guess, but it doesn’t hurt to put it in writing.
1. Most importantly pray that God would use this and us to glorify Himself and further His name and His kingdom.
2. Continue to pray that we all remain healthy and that April doesn’t get bumped from the schedule for a more serious case.
3. Pray for solid rest for the surgeons the night before; their wisdom and steady hands during the surgery.
4. Pray there would be no complications. The risks range all the way from brain damage to lung damage to death. Please pray none of these would occur.
5. Similarly, pray that everything would go right and nothing would go wrong.
6. There is one of April’s aorta’s that they are monitoring. With this defect it is common to have a narrowing of this specific aorta. Hers is a little narrow, but they don’t think it is a concern. They will know more after the surgery if that is the case. Please pray that the fix of the surgery shows that this will not be a future issue.
7. Pray for peace and strength for Mike and I through this. That regardless of the situation, we would remember who we represent and who is in control.
And, if I might be so bold to add one more prayer request that isn’t really related to our sweet little April….
8. On Monday morning (September 26th, the day before her surgery) we have a fetal ecocardiogram on little Cashew (our unborn little guy). Please pray that this reveals he has a strong and healthy heart.
Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers sent up on our behalf.
“Let us hold unswervingly to that which we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23

We are praying! Thanks for the posting. I like the format and will print it out.
We are praying also! Just printed out the list before family prayer time.
Many thoughts of your family today and when I start thinking of you, taking those thoughts captive and changing them into prayers and petitions. Thankfully, we serve a living, loving, all-powerful, all-knowing God who is more than able and whose ways are higher than ours . . . else I’d go crazy. I love you! HUGS!
2:23 pm: prayers offered on behalf of April, both of you, and the many hands who will be touching April’s life today.
(not late, just live in a different time zone!)
Praise God! All of our Home Group is rejoicing for you and your family and we are so happy that your sweet April is going to be okay. Multitudes of prayers were answered!
