Cameron Park Zoo

Mike took a Friday off at the end of April and we headed to Waco to visit their zoo.  The zoo isn’t very large, but it’s extremely well done.  They have great animals, it’s very shaded, and the best part is that it’s small enough to see everything in about 4 hours.  Neither Mike nor I were in tip-top shape (Mike had recently had surgery and I majorly sprained my foot), but we both survived with flying colors.  When we got there, it was all about seeing the lions for Abe, but they just slept the whole time.  Borrrring!  Later that night, when I asked him what his favorite part was, he said the snakes and seeing which ones were poisonous and which ones weren’t.  April did a lot of walking and staring and babbling.  It was a fun family day!  Go here to see more pictures.
