Kiddie Acres

by jodi on December 29th, 2010

The Wednesday before Christmas I took the kids to Kiddie Acres with some neighborhood friends.  Wednesday is discount day, so $11 got you one ride on everything.  It’s been around since 1979 and is a bit run-down, but three year olds don’t care about that.  It was fantastic.  The best (read that as amusing) part is that they only have a couple attendants that to run all the rides.  One lady had to stay at the pony ride (one pony, one rider, one attendant), one lady at the ticket counter, and then one man to do everything else.  That meant that everyone rode on the same ride at the same time because the attendant dude could only be at one ride at a time.  Abe really wanted to ride the boats, but I kept telling him we had to wait until the crowd went there because we couldn’t ride them without the attendant.  Finally, Abe went up to the attendant after a ride and told him he wanted to ride the boats next.  The man nicely obliged.  Go here for more pictures.
