Grandpa Roger & Mimi

About a week and a half ago Grandpa Roger and Mimi visited the sunny state of Texas.  It was a whirlwind trip for them (in town for a wedding) and we were blessed to have them crash with us for a couple of days.  We didn’t do a whole lot; just hung out at the house and spent the time catching up.  Mike has been big into the P90X for the last couple of months and I’m afraid he’s infected Ginny (Mimi) with the bug.  Sorry Roger. =)

Funny story from their trip:  You’ll notice in one of the pictures above that Abe has ear plugs in.  He wanted them in and Mike obliged.  You see the problem developing with this of course.  Ear plugs block, well, sound.  While Mimi was doing her push-ups in the bedroom, Abe was hanging out with her and they were having (or attempting to have) a conversation.  Whenever Ginny would say something, Abe would say, loudly, “What?”  So Ginny, not really knowing why he had earplugs in at all, said, “Come here and I’ll take them out.”  So Abe nicely came over and “pop”, Ginny took them out.  Abe melted faster than you can snap your fingers.  Even though I didn’t see it, I can picture it perfectly.  So many times have I done something, not realizing the effect it had on him and in a flash he’d fall apart.  We all had a good chuckle at the mind of a three year old.
