Czech, Please

Keith, the wife, and I went up to Fort Worth for the Bronstad/Pouzar wedding on Saturday. What a great time! I have been to many many Christian weddings, a Catholic wedding, even a Buddist wedding, but never a Lutheran wedding. This was a Lutheran wedding, which had a lot of liturgical elements where the congregation was very involved. I really enjoyed getting to be a part of the event, instead of just an attendee.
The funny part for us, however, was that we just happened to sit right below the air conditioning vent, which was apparently set to “icicle.” Wow, was it cold! Lucky for me I have a hot head, otherwise I may have lost an appendage.
One other funny part…they had communion during the ceremony, of which we took part. We were super hungry at this point, and I don’t know if that contributed to our perception of the taste of the bread and wine offered during communion or not, but we were certainly wanting to go back for more. What could they do, really? I mean, if we say we want more of Jesus in our lives, they couldn’t really deny us that, could they? Oh boy we’re in trouble. heh..
Well, congratulations Darin and Kathleen! Have a gander at some pictures. I’m really using the word gander a lot recently. I don’t know why. I am trying to bring “bonkers” back in vogue though. Did I just say “vogue”?

Well, Mike, 1 Corinthians 11 says you’re not suppose to come to the Lord’s table hungry ! :-)
Verse 22: “Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? …” However, Paul wasn’t talking about when he was away from home … Hmmmm ….
