purpose of blogging
I was just thinking today about the purpose of blogging. It actually seems to be a fairly pretentious concept, if you think about it. Come on, do I actually expect that random strangers will happen across the site and read through this drivel? The most popular blogs are political figures or popular authors such as Dave Barry. Why would someone read this?
Jodi convinced me some time back that I should take a different approach entirely. I should be blogging for me, not for everyone else. A great idea! This should be a place where I can record my thoughts, dreams, etc, albeit in a public place…which begs another question. Why have I never done this in a private place (journal, diary)?
Hence the pretentiousness of it all.
Here’s some news to gratify you. Great.

HA! Found ya! Just don’t get mooshy with your blog and I’ll keep coming back.
You should see what I write about bloggers in my private journal.
nothing pretentious. seems cathartic to me to put it out there. I started blogging when one of my professors said it was “important to make our scholarship public”
Yeah.. well, to answer your question.. me, a random web user, who somehow happened to hit your site (searched google images for ‘best picture ever’) do read your random blogs. i will probably never return tho.
