bird’s nests & wedding
Well, yesterday Jodi and I got hitched! We are now married! Yay! Yippeee! Yahooie!! The day was perfect, but I’ll save that entry for a later date. For now, I’ve been meaning to put an entry in about the bird’s nests.
Last weekend, Jodi and I went out to my dad’s house (the wedding location) to help prepare. When we go I usually leave the windows down if the weather is good. When I got back to my house, I reached up to the overhead console where I keep the garage door opener and felt something weird, so I recoiled a bit now knowing what it was. I felt again gingerly, and thought it was string or rope. So I turned on the light and it was packed with sticks. My immediate thought was that someone was playing a joke. But I looked again and it was a bird’s nest! How bizarre. Here are some pictures:

The kicker is that we went out again on Friday, and I again left my windows down. Yup, another bird’s nest! Two nests inside my truck in under a week. Hmph.
Off to Kauai!! See you in a week!

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve removed two barn swallow nests from my front porch and the nest of an unknown bird from the grille of my left speaker on the deck.
