Weird dream

by mike on January 5th, 2004

Every once in a while I have a strange dream. Most of the time I can point to something I saw or heard that influenced the subject matter, but occasionally I have no idea where the thing comes from. This is such a dream. On Saturday night I dreamt that Jodi and I were at a large theater production, a musical, in an indoor theater. We were sitting off to the left side of the hall on the orchestra level with our view nearly blocked by the columns. At the end of the last number, the audience was invited to join the actors on stage to help sing. We all joined, but Jodi was quite perturbed, saying that this severely lowered her thus-far high opinion of this production. I had no thoughts. Then I awoke.
On another note, we’re getting into the swing of things wedding-wise here. We visited Ascot Tuxedo (a different one this time), and got our tuxes lined up in about ten minutes(!). Then we met with some friends on Sunday for lunch to schedule a co-ed shower. I’m supposed to write a haiku for it, and of the ones I wrote, this was my favorite:

Gender equality.
We promote such harmony.
Shower together.

It’s ambiguous, but the only condition of the haiku is that it clearly state the co-ed nature of said shower. It’s humorous, yet conveys the intended message, subtly understated with a dash of irony. Ok, it’s just a haiku. :)
Hope you had a great Christmas! God gave us His son to die for us. Let’s remember that and worship Him come Easter; the most important holiday.
