Saw Lord of the Rings: Return of the King last night at Gateway. It was a very yummy treat! This, I think, was the best of the three movies, though I should go back and watch them all. They did a fantastic job with character development, especially Gollum/Smeagle. I was debating with a friend about which movie people would think is the best. I proposed that people would think this one was the best because it is the resolution of the story. That wasn’t the case with Star Wars though. Return of the Jedi is now widely regarded as the best of the original Star Wars trilogy…so who knows what will happen with LoTR. I was incredibly impressed with Sean Astin. I’ll even go so far as to say that I think he deserves an Academy Award nod for best supporting actor.
Well, I’m off to Ohio for next week. I’m actually driving to Dallas today, then hopefully all the way to Cincinnati tomorrow, although I’ll probably only make it as far as somewhere in Kentucky. I’m actually looking forward to this driving. I’ll get to spend some time with just me and God hanging out. Oooh, that reminds me, I should check the weather..
