Impact Christmas party

by mike on December 13th, 2003

I just got back from the Impact Christmas party. It was fun! The church has been doing this for several years. This year it was at the Austin Club this year = quite formal. We danced to music DJed by the Hale brothers. There was way too much 70s-80s funk and disco for my taste. I would have rather had more country (two-step) and swing (swing) music. That’s ok though. It was quiet enough on the other end of the room to be able to have some good conversations.
Incidentally, the Christmas party is where Jodi and I met two years ago (at the Salt Lick that time).
So tomorrow (or should I say today?) we’ll be doing a huge pile of stuff:

  • tuxedo rental
  • pick up film
  • get sunglasses for Jodi
  • get new cell phones (good rebates right now!…and we both could use new ones soon. We’re gonna get phones with cameras in them I think.)
  • maybe check out cakes for the wedding
  • check for some pants I liked at Dillard’s
  • look for hairdressers in Wimberley
  • go to Wimberley to work on our new table at my dad and stepmother’s house
  • head down to Gruene Hall to see Junior Brown – this dude rocks!

So, basically, we’re busy. I’d be surprised if we got half that stuff done.
off to bed…
